Synopsis: Spain,
at the beginning of the 1980s. Two ideologically opposed policemen are sent
from Madrid to a remote southern town in the Guadalquivir marshes to
investigate the disappearance of two teenage girls. In a community anchored in
the past, they will have to face not only a cruel murderer, but also their own
ghosts
Where was the minimum island filmed?
The film starts with spectacular aerial shots of the channel of the Guadalquivir and its innumerable arms when approaching the mouth, an image that even comes to remind us to the same Amazon.Most of the rice paddy sequences were filmed in Isla Mayor, a municipality of just over 5,000 inhabitants and one of the gateways to the Doñana National Park.
The village is surrounded by cultivated fields so that, when flooded, it feels like a real island. The marshes and the almost 40,000 hectares of cultivation that exist in them are, in fact, one of the most recurring scenes of the film.
Among fields of spikes, rice paddies and flooded crops of the area most of the sequences of intriga.La scene of final persecution, was shot concretely in the beach of the Morenos of Isla Mayor.
